Apply for work permit in Sweden while being in Sweden on a study permit

I am X working in sweden right now. I am on a student dependent visa and planning to apply for a work permit. Can i apply for work permit?

Hi and thank you for your question!

Yes, it is possible. First of all I can make clear that it is perfectly fine to work in Sweden when you are in Sweden on a study permit.

If you want to apply for a work permit there are some requirements that you must fulfill (e.g. having completed at least 30 credits at university) and that the employer must fullfill (e.g. offer you an employment with a minimun salary of 13 000 SEK pre-tax).
