Uträkning av 3 månaders uppsägning
Dear team!
Kindly i had a contract for a rental apartment and in the contract the owner stated 3 month notice before i can leave, so i send the notice of leaving the apartment at 02-05-2021, However the owner wants me to pay until the end of August 2021, as he wants to consider the notice from 31-05-2021, meanwhile he don't want to pay the deposit back, so what should i do please?

According to 12 chapter 5 § JB a tenant has the right to terminate a lease with three months notice, 12 kap. 5 § JB. The lease ceases at the end/"turn" of the month earliest after three months from the termination. Therefore you have to count three months from 02-05-2021 which is 02-08-2021 and then add that full month since the lease ceases at the end of each month.
