I am an American and being sued for divorce. her letter to the court is very one sided. I am not in Sweden(I don't have a visa yet) and I can read and speak a little swedish, but need serious assistance from someone who can explain the system and rules to me?

Its sounds as if you need more help and more qualified help than lawline can offer. I would advise you to contact a legal expert in Sweden. That person should be able to help you even though you're not currently in Sweden
